It is argued that a pivotal part of good governance is leaders ensuring public health through policies on diet and fitness, but others say no authority should intervene in people’s personal affairs when it comes to their well-being. I believe the authorities and citizens working together would be favorable in long term.
On the one hand, according to some groups, taking responsibility for individuals’ health should be based on individual preference. Through self-awareness, only men and women themselves can assess their condition round-the-clock, monitor their habits, and modify their lifestyles for the better or worse. It is their lives and free will, and no authority should interfere or force them to do something for their heath. In terms of diet and fitness, adults know their limits in the food they consume, and the extent of activities their bodies can take to avoid injury. After all, they will be the ones to suffer if they neglect their physical state.
On the other hand, others argue that the state should be active by having health policies accessible to its constituents. Countries have their respective health departments that have the machinery and reach to design health campaigns with utmost persistence and consistence, unlike individuals. For instance, they can raise health awareness through various media and social events, offer health subsidies, or even enact penalties for products promoting unhealthy diet. Their authority can create lasting impact, change citizens’ minds, and even foster a health-conscious culture starting from the young generation all because a governing body is in earnest toward public health.
In conclusion, I still deem that the governments’ power and far-reaching influence, and citizens' determination to keep their health robust are necessary to successfully solve health crises and rally support to healthy diet and lifestyle.

1、题目及其大意
Some think most crime is the result of circumstances e.g. poverty and other social problems. Others believe that most crime is caused by people who are bad by nature. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

Nowadays, varying views with regard to the root of transgressions have been topics of heated debates. Some individuals claim that cases of felony are often committed by persons who are innately immoral, while others concur that external factors are to blame. I side with the latter.
On the one hand, it is believed that certain people are naturally predisposed to commit a crime. This is primarily due to their hereditary psychological conditions. Psychopathy, for instance, is often classified as genetically transferable. Research suggests that this type of mental illness can run in families, causing them to act violently and break the law repetitively. Although we do not fully understand what causes mental illness and how this nature influences people to engage in immoral acts, it can be surmised that being a criminal can be an inborn characteristic.
On the other hand, others argue that although the above feels true for many, disadvantaged backgrounds such as poverty seem more believable. Taking a look at the most destitute communities worldwide; these are often the areas where criminal behaviors flourish. The people who live here cannot even eat three meals a day, so they are desperate and forced to be atrocious for the sake of survival. In such states of despair, they tend to put themselves first and ignore the law, leading them to criminal works eventually.
In conclusion, although certain unlawful behaviors may result from innately despicable qualities, I am still convinced that most crime cases the society faces today are brought by various social circumstances among which impoverishment is the main culprit.

1、题目及其大意
Most countries believe that international tourism have harmful effects. Why do they think so? How to change their views?
2、思路提纲

Nowadays, an increasing number of nations around the world argue that foreign travel has detrimental effects. Several reasons justify this view, but various strategies can be adopted to change these perceptions.
One reason for the belief that international tourism is harmful is its damaging impact on the environment. It is undeniable that when a large numbers of visitors travel using various forms of transportation, such as trains, subways, buses, airplanes, and private cars, pollution levels increase, which harms wildlife and degrades ecosystems. Another obvious factor is related to cultural erosion. Host countries often aim to cater to the tastes of foreign visitors to boost their profits, offering foreign cuisines, foreign entertainment, and more. These practices can surely overshadow local traditions, ultimately weakening cultural heritage.
Fortunately, there are effective ways to encourage those countries to alter their views on global tourism. One effective method is promoting eco-friendly travel. In particular, companies and governments in tourist destinations like the Philippines or Maldives should find ways to reduce their carbon footprint. For instance, limiting the number of tourists at popular attractions or regulating private vehicle use can help decrease carbon emissions. Another approach is cultural education. Tourists should be made aware of the unique cultures present in the countries they visit. This can be achieved if tour operators and guides are well-versed in local traditions and effectively encourage travelers to respect local customs.
In conclusion, although cross-border tourism may no doubt contribute to several environmental and cultural challenges, such as pollution and cultural loss, these can be addressed through sustainable practices and cultural education.
