With the rapid advancement of media, numerous individuals emphasize how effective TV watching is in education. Because of this, they suggest frequent TV viewing both at home and in the classroom. I do not deny that television makes learning more interesting, but in most cases, it should not be utilized for their studies.

On the one hand, I agree with the use of TV at home and in school considering its vivid contents. Compared to books, which are usually textual, TV shows for education make studying more exciting, especially for young learners, because of the colorful images and upbeat music. Hence, it is no denying that watching TV should be encouraged for this reason.

On the other hand, I feel that TV should not be promoted for learning on the ground that it is addicting for young viewers. Studies show that children usually forget to complete their homework because of TV. Aside from that, they acquire undesirable information such as pornography and violence, which do not make their studies effective.

Also, I believe it is not healthy. If students watch TV both at home and at school, parents and teachers are encouraging students to live a sedentary lifestyle. Education should involve physical activities, which not only make children study effectively but also improve their minds and physique. Contrarily, if students watch TV regularly, either their posture will depreciate or their vision will be impaired, all of which can hamper children from performing well academically.

In conclusion, although I admit that frequent use of TV, whether at home or in school, for educating the young is commendable, it leads to unwarranted addiction and poor health, both of which hinder effective study habits.

Nowadays, more and more individuals are heavily utilizing electronic devices for communication. Because of this, some claim that it leads to the decreased capability to interact in person. I partly agree with this notion.

On the one hand, I do not deny that when electronic devices are used improperly, it may surely lead to a reduced ability to communicate face to face. For example, most youngsters these days spend long hours on their phones and computers playing video games. These games often require players to converse through built-in SMS applications in the games and spend time together in virtual locations. As a result, these children prefer to chat with people they do not see than talk to their real friends and families. In the end, they become timid and poor in face-to-face communication.

On the other hand, I am sure that interacting through smartphones and computers is as good as face-to-face communication. For instance, social media applications such as FaceTime, WeChat, WhatsApp, and more allow everyone, young and old, to talk to their friends and relatives using its video and microphone features. In fact, with the pandemic that affected most businesses for two years now, companies used these same devices connected to the Internet to conduct face-to-face interviews and remote work requiring face-to-face interaction. In short, mobile phones and computers used for communication did not degrade our in-person communicating ability.

In conclusion, I admit that electronic gadgets may result in the loss of some communication practices if utilized in the wrong way, but they can surely aid face-to-face communication if used properly.

Nowadays, it is quite common to see that those who supervise or manage a firm are often older individuals, but some insist that young ones can also take the lead. I partly agree with this notion for the following reasons.

On the one hand, I believe that older people are more qualified to lead or direct an organization because of their knowledge and experience. They have worked for a long time and thus have more valuable insights when it comes to handling company issues or other problems. This abundance of wisdom and experience cannot be matched by the youth. For example, someone with decades of experience in investing and managing companies may be known for his strategic insights and ability to navigate economic challenges. His extensive experience, which younger individuals do not possess, enables him to make well-informed decisions, showcasing the unique value older leaders bring.

On the other hand, I won’t deny that young people can also be leaders, particularly due to their adaptability. Technology is constantly progressing, and it cannot be denied that many older individuals lack familiarity with this area. In contrast, young people are generally more open to change and innovation. They are less inclined to adhere to conventional practices and beliefs, unlike older generations. A good example is Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook. His remarkable adaptability to technology has enabled him to lead multiple companies in today’s digital age.

In conclusion, while older individuals bring invaluable knowledge and experience to organizations, the youth’s adaptability and familiarity with technology also make them strong candidates for leadership roles in today’s society.
